The proposed slate of nominees for JWHA President-Elect and Board of Directors, to be approved at the 2025 Annual Conference Business Meeting in Independence, Missouri are as follows:
For President-Elect, Nancy Ross

Nancy Ross is an associate professor and the department chair of the Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences Department at Utah Tech University, where she has been teaching for 18 years. Her forthcoming book, which will be published by the University of Illinois Press, is titled “Mormon Garments: Sacred and Secret” and examines the meaning and lived experiences of those who wear garments through the lenses of gender and belief. She is an ordained elder in Community of Christ and pastor of the Southern Utah congregation and still loves and claims her Mormon feminist community.
For Board Member 2025-2028, Joel Bell

Joel, a history buff passionate about the Reorganization and restoration movements, resides in Magnolia, Texas, with his wife, Michelle, and their two sons, Aaron and Graysen. An alumnus of Franklin University in Ohio and The City University of Seattle in Washington, Joel has dedicated his entire career to Industrial Real Estate. Outside of work, he finds joy in serving the community, reading, and engaging in outdoor activities. A die-hard Razorbacks fan, he proudly cheers for the University of Arkansas.
For Board Member 2025-2028, Nick Literski

Nicholas S. Literski, JD, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Depth Psychology and Creativity at Pacifica Graduate Institute, a professional spiritual guide, and host of The Reflective Soul Podcast. They hold a PhD in Depth Psychology with emphasis in Jungian and Archetypal Studies from Pacifica Graduate Institute, as well as a master’s in Spiritual Guidance from Sophia University. Their research interests include depth psychological reflections on spirituality, ritual magic, Paleolithic cave art, and LGBTQ+ studies. Their co-authored book, Method Infinite: Freemasonry and the Mormon Restoration, offers groundbreaking research into the intersection of early American religion and esotericism.
For Board Member 2025-2028, Eric Rogers

Eric has been a member of JWHA since 1999 and served in a variety of roles. He has studied organizations within the Restoration Movement, particularly The Church of the Firstborn (Morrisite), Community of Christ (formerly the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints), and the Apostolic United Brethren (Allred Group). His research has been published in a number of books and journals including Curriculum and Teaching, Educating about Religious Diversity and Interfaith Engagement: A Handbook for Student Affairs, Doctrine and Covenants Reference Companion, Journal of Mormon History, The Persistence of Polygamy: Fundamentalist Mormon Polygamy from 1890 to the Present, Religious Educator, and the John Whitmer Historical Association Journal.
