2025 Conference Guest Room Options

This year’s conference will be held at the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum in Independence, Missouri, September 18 – 21.  We do not have a block of room reserved for the conference however, we recommend you visit Where to Stay | City of Independence, MO for options.

Looking forward to seeing you in September.

2025 Conference Auction – Online Only

JWHA friends, in preparation for this year’s conference, we are asking for contributions to our annual auction.  Books have traditionally been the most popular thing donated, but artwork, pamphlets, and other articles associated with JWHA and all it represents are gladly welcomed.  Because of the prestigious venue where the proceedings will take place, all financial transactions must be made online.  The only exchange that will take place at the conference is what the winning bidders requested.  Please consider what items you can offer to help make this year’s JWHA Conference yet another success.  Donate to the annual conference on-line auction.

A Message from JWHA President, Mark Staker

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your support of the John Whitmer Historical Association. We have been so blessed over the decades by many generous souls who have given time, leadership, intellectual resources, and money. These contributions have kept us going and helped us support efforts to recover and preserve the past. We can always use more contributions as we try to serve the needs of our membership.

As you will recall, a generous member, has offered a $25,000 capital campaign match to our organization. It’s a way to double your donation. He has agreed to extend the offer until June. If you donate now, he will match your donation. What a great way to help JWHA improve the financial stability of our organization.

While no one from the organization will ask for money from you directly, please continue to work through our Executive Director, Cheryle Grinter, to help us achieve our mission. Your generous gifts of money are particularly appreciated as they help us provide more for you.
