Ground Hog Sees Sun—Spring/Summer 2019 JWHA Journal Expected Early

The 2019 Spring/Summer Issue of the John Whitmer Historical Association Journal is already in press in mid-February with ten peer-reviewed articles and seven book reviews.

Highlighting the issue are Professor Richard Bushman’s Richard Howard Lecture on the many faces of the golden plates and Sherry Mesle-Morain’s Presidential Address on her father’s steadying hand during Community of Christ schisms.

Also included are Danny Jorgensen’s sociological analysis of secularization in the decline of CofC membership, Michael Allen’s illustrated description of non-steam riverboats around Nauvoo, Paul Edwards’ witty description of the disparity in RLDS culture as mirrored in his own parents, and several more.
