This summer, I was pleased to represent JWHA at both the Mormon History Association Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the Sunstone Symposium in Salt Lake City, Utah. Both were successful, with books sold and new friends made. Many thanks to the JWHA members who helped set up and staff our vendor table, especially “book mule” Eric Paul Rogers.
I’m excited to share that A Life of the Mind: An Intimate Biography of Paul M. Edwards is now available to purchase in paperback for $24.95, eBook for $12.99, and audiobook for $10.99. The author, Gregory Edwards, signed copies at the conference in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Also at the conference, Matthew Bolton signed copies of his book, From Militarized Mission to Global Solidarity: The Life and Work of Missionary and Humanitarian Charles D. Neff. This signing followed Matthew’s delivery of the Richard P. Howard Lecture Thursday night.
Copies of both books were available for purchase at the conference, and online at www.johnwhitmerbooks.com.
David Wilson and Gary Bergera are nearing the end of their terms on the editorial board. Many thanks to both of them! If you are interested in serving on the board, please reach out to jwha@jwha.info.
Finally, I have mixed emotions in announcing that I’ll be stepping down as Books Manager to focus on a new role with Community of Christ. I’ll still be around at JWHA conferences, and will be happy to consult on moving new titles through the production process. I am very proud of the work accomplished, and am confident of our continued success thanks to the upcoming titles on the production slate. My sincere gratitude goes out to our editorial board, our authors, and all involved in making John Whitmer Books a success!
