Many members of the John Whitmer Historical Association receive the JWHA Journal and enjoy the scholarship it contains. I would like to encourage members to think of the journal not only as something to read, but also as something to share.

One of the most effective ways to strengthen the association and broaden the conversation about Restoration history is simply to place the journal into the hands of others. If you have an extra copy, consider giving it to a colleague, a graduate student, or a promising undergraduate who is interested in religious history, American history, or the humanities more broadly.

The JWHA Journal is a peer-reviewed academic publication, and publishing in it can be a meaningful step for emerging scholars to build their academic portfolios. At the same time, the journal provides an opportunity to explore the history of the Restoration in ways that engage larger conversations in the humanities and social sciences.

I would also encourage members to invite colleagues from related disciplines to consider submitting their work. While history remains central to the journal’s mission, the questions explored in our pages intersect naturally with fields such as: Religious Studies, Sociology, Political Science, Anthropology, Philosophy, Cultural Studies, and Peace and Justice Studies. Articles that engage Restoration traditions in dialogue with broader questions in these disciplines are very welcome.

If you know scholars who might be interested in contributing, please encourage them to contact the journal editor or submit inquiries at: journaleditor@jwha.info. The strength of JWHA has always come from its community of thoughtful readers and scholars. By sharing the journal and inviting new voices into the conversation, members help ensure that the study of Restoration traditions continues to grow, evolve, and reach new audiences.
