Vickie Speek has been named as the new editor of the JWHA Journal, succeeding Pat Spillman, who retired after completing this year’s volume.
 
Vickie has many years of experience as a journalist. Her recent book, "God Has Made Us a Kingdom": James Strang and the Midwest Mormons, won last year’s best new book award from the Mormon History Association. Vickie is also an active member of JWHA who has delivered papers at our last five annual conferences.
 
Newell Bringhurst and Peter Judd will continue to serve as associate editors and Bill Russell will retain the role of book review editor. Additional members of the journal’s editorial board include Craig Foster, David Howlett, Mark Scherer, and Barb Walden.
