MMFF Secretary William J. Curtis presented wall plaques honoring some of those who especially helped make the Missouri Mormon Walking Trail a reality. Among those receiving this special recognition during the ribbon cutting ceremony: Artist Henry Inouye, benefactor Chris Jones, several with the City of Independence, Bruce Hall, Ron Penrod, and former City employee Mary Ottman; Independence LDS Visitors Center Director Hugh Barlow, and Community of Christ Archivist, Ron Romig.

William Curtis recognizes Chris Jones for his significant financial support of the trail.


In addition, Independence LDS Visitors Center Director Hugh Barlow, recognized many in attendance at the dedication, who also provide important assistance in helping accomplish this project. It should be noted there were several major contributions by individuals and business who wished no recognition.
