Please use this form to register for the annual meeting of The John Whitmer Historical Association from Thursday, September 25th through Sunday, September 28th in Burlington (Voree), Wisconsin.
 
All sessions will be held at the Alpine Valley Resort outside East Troy, Wisconsin.

Friday Plenary Lunch Book Panel Considers The Journey of a People: The Era of Restoration 1820-1844:
Although the first volume of Mark A. Scherer’s new history of the Community of Christ will not be available for sale by the time of the conference, a panel of readers including Roger D. Launius and Ronald K. Esplin and two others (TBA), will give their reactions to the manuscript. Mark A. Scherer will be on hand for a response.
 
Friday Awards Dinner and Address The JWHA Awards Committee will present JWHA's annual awards, following an address by D. Michael Quinn entitled "The Ambiguous History of Us-Versus-Them in the Mormon Experience."
 
Saturday Presidential Banquet Address by outgoing JWHA president Barbara Walden, entitled "Prophet, Seer, and Tour-Guide: The Power of Place in the Latter Day Saint Traditions," and the passing of the gavel to incoming JWHA president Bill Shepard
 
Saturday Voree Area Sites Tour Buses will take our tour group from Alpine Valley to the Strangite sites in and around Old Voree, including the Hill of Promise, the old Mormon Cemetery, the Voree-era homes, the old Strangite church, as well as historic markers and monuments. JWHA president-elect Bill Shepard will lead the tour. Tour includes box lunch.

Alpine Valley is an easy freeway ride of 37 miles (41 minutes) from Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Aiport (MKE), or 81 miles (1 hour 39 minutes) from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport (ORD). The conference venue is within twenty minutes of both Old Voree and the old resort town of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
 


 
Please type the name of each person registering in the space below. Each person must have his / her own name tag as identification for admittance into the sessions. Name tags and program materials will be in the registration packets provided upon your arrival.
