Attention! The Council Bluffs Ramada Inn has been shut down by the Council Bluffs fire department with no prospects of opening in the near term. The difficulty has been assigned to electrical problems. The Ramada folks have taken the liberty of transferring our entire Ramada program to the Omaha Days Hotel. If you have already made your reservation to stay at the Ramada, you need not do anything further. The Omaha Days Hotel has more rooms available. It is suggested that those who made reservations for outlying accommodations in the Council Bluffs area cancel and confirm at the Omaha Days Hotel. If you still need to make or adjust your reservations -- see below:
Driving Directions to the Omaha Days Hotel: From I-29 take I-80 West across the Missouri River and through Omaha. When you reach the west side of Omaha take the "L" Street exit off Interstate 80; get off and go east to 108th. Turn right off 108th one block to "M" Street and then right again to the Omaha Days Hotel. The actual address is 10909 M Street, Omaha, Nebraska, 68137, should you want to MapQuest it. This is a nicer facility at the same price.
Thanks, Mark Scherer

The program contains an exciting array of topics. Some will be addressing topics along the following lines:
- The spatial geography of the Reorganization from Plano, to Independence, to Lamoni and beyond
- The center and the periphery, metaphorically or literally
- The portability of the Kingdom of God
- Council Bluffs as the place where some Saints went west, some stayed put, and some went west and came back
- The discourse of place and how it is imbedded in the theology of the Restoration in general and the Community of Christ in particular
- The place of place in the internationalization of the Mormon movement.
