LAMONI IN THE 1990s

Significant growth during the post-war years transformed the RLDS Church into a religious denomination with growth world-wide. The church is now represented in nearly 40 nations.

Though Community of Christh (RLDS Church) Headquarters officially moved to Independence, Missouri, in 1920, Lamoni still serves as home for the Community of Christ Lamoni Mission Center.

Sioux City congregations of the Community of Christ Church is also home to many members in western Iowa who are involved in local and world-wide oriented programs such as the Young Peacemakers Club, begun in Sioux City, Iowa.
